I painted these leaves on a rainy day. I imagined them dancing as they welcomed the delicious water on their tiny leaf bodies. We hadn't had much rain at that time, and, while I preferred non-rainy days, this one was most welcomed. This painting was made in watercolor and goauche with India inks on Canson mixed media paper. Lesson learned: I'll do this it again on a heavier watercolor paper. The mixed media paper survived but wasn't the best for this very wet process.
