Aside from making a fun model for a painting, bean sprouts are LOADED with nutrients and are very easy to grow on your own! Plus, because they grow indoors in water, you can have them year round!
Here's one of the easiest bean sprouts recipes I make often:
Make a smoked or oven-baked turkey sandwich with your favorite multigrain bread. Put some sliced tomatoes, sliced cucumber pieces, mashed avocado, and optionally, you can add either mayo or wasabi mayo. Then add alfalfa sprouts (or my favorite, broccoli sprouts). Serve with a couple olives and some apple slices (you can also have a couple baked chips if you feel like it). Enjoy your lunch!
Bean sprouts can be very tasty in salads, sandwiches, over pasta dishes, over fish dishes, and pretty much over any grains or noodles. Check some of them out at your natural grocery story to try them.
